Collected

  1. On ordering

    Name, mobile number, an optional second mobile number, delivery address including the nearest landmark, email address, the items bought and the order total. All of it is required to deliver a parcel and collect payment for it.

  2. On an account

    The same, plus a password that is never held in readable form.

  3. On browsing

    Pages viewed, products viewed, and the contents of the cart. Used to make the shop work and to record which pieces are looked at.

  4. On writing

    The contents of the message.

Purpose

To take and deliver orders, to call and confirm them, to handle returns and repairs, to send order emails, and, where asked for, to send occasional emails about new pieces. Personal data is not sold to anyone.

    Processes order emails on our behalf.

  3. Analytics

    None at present. No Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no TikTok pixel, no advertising cookies. The only cookies set are the ones the shop cannot work without: the cart and the sign-in. Any change is stated here before it is made.

Retention

Order records for seven years, as tax rules require. Marketing consent until it is withdrawn. Support messages for two years.

Rights

You may ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or withdraw consent to marketing. Write to privacy@myelega.com; the answer follows within thirty days. Identity may be confirmed first, usually by a reply from the email address on the order.

Deleting an order record is not always possible while a legal obligation to keep it applies. In that case the record and the reason are stated.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS. Passwords are stored hashed. Administrative access is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfect; a breach that affects your data is disclosed to you.

Children

The shop is not intended for anyone under 18. Data is not knowingly collected from children.

Changes

A material change to this policy is stated on this page and dated YYYY-MM-DD.
